René Glynn is Vice President/Principal with Williams Architects, Inc. and has been with the firm for the past 10 years. Her background includes 17 years of professional experience in the planning and design of office/commercial and institutional facilities. Her talent in design, production and management also includes interior design and she is currently heading the interior’s division of WAI. In addition, Ms. Glynn is responsible for directing and implementing the intern professional development program in the office.

As Vice President/Principal, Ms. Glynn is responsible for establishing and implementing design and construction drawing standards. During the project delivery process, she is responsible for general management of the design process. Working with project staff, Ms. Glynn is responsible for ensuring that all program requirements and special criteria are met and diligently managed with a maximum of personal service and attention to the client. She oversees project design through all phases and provides guidance in the coordination of design and quality control issues among disciplines.

Prior to her association with Williams Architects, Inc., Ms. Glynn was a designer for Miller Pollin Architecture and Planning, an award winning design firm. While a designer at Miller Pollin, she contributed her expertise on multiple award winning projects including University Place, an adaptive reuse of multiple retail shops into an office building along University Avenue in downtown Riverside; the renovation of the historic Loring Building, a three-story office building along the pedestrian mall in downtown Riverside; Mt. Vernon Residences, and ColtonSenior Housing (an international design  competition winner). Other projects she contributed to include: Pierce Street Metrolink Station, University Avenue Streetscape Guidelines, several commercial/retail projects and multiple residential projects.

Ms. Glynn received her Bachelor of Architecture degree from California State Polytechnic University in Pomona in 1988. Publications of her design work include: Mt. Vernon Houses, Los Angeles Houses, 1995; Colton Senior Housing International Design Competition, Architectural Record, 1989 and Progressive Architecture, 1989; Hartley Residence and Norman Residence, Sunset Magazine, 1988. Among her many design awards are AIAIC Award of Merit - 2000, AIACC/CMACN Design Award - 2000 ICCAIA Award of Excellence- 1990, ICCAIA Award of  Merit - 1990, International Design Competition, Honor Award - 1989.
